We are Jan and Annika – together with our three children, we have been living in this old castle farmhouse since the summer of 2023, in the region where we have vacationed for over 20 years. We love the peace, nature, and authentic atmosphere of the Loire, and we are delighted to share it with you.

Our Accommodations:

• Chambre d'hôtes: 3 rooms for 2–4 people and 2 rooms for 1–2 people

• Prices: Please check with the accommodations for the current rates. In the low season (outside 15 June – 15 September), you pay €15 less per night per room in the chambre d'hôtes.

More Than Just a Place to Stay

Our castle farmhouse, set in a spacious garden right on the Vienne, offers countless opportunities for relaxation:

• Dive in the swimming pool

• Play jeu de boules, table tennis, football, or jump on the trampoline

• Unwind in our cozy lounge with console games, a dartboard, a foosball table, and a pool table

Your Home Away from Home

We believe it is important that you feel completely at home here. We are happy to offer tips on the most beautiful villages, impressive castles, and charming wineries in the area. For those who enjoy being active, there are wonderful hiking and cycling routes through hills, forests, and along the water – supported by our digital library with routes in .gpx and .pdf formats.

The Region is Full of Life

In addition to the natural tranquility, you will regularly find markets, antique fairs, festivals, and local celebrations in the surrounding villages and towns. Although BienViennue is easily accessible via the highway, the green surroundings make the hustle and bustle seem far away. And for those who wish to stay connected, Wi-Fi is available everywhere – even on the terrace.

From BienViennue you will be staying in an ideal base to explore the region. Within a two-hour radius there are numerous unique destinations, each with their own character and charm. Plan your days full of discoveries or enjoy all the beauty that this region has to offer at a leisurely pace.

Within less than a thirty-minute drive from BienViennue there are several picturesque villages, impressive castles and culinary gems that you should not miss.

There are also many special places to explore within an hour's drive.

The Loire region is not only a paradise for culture lovers, but also for those who love nature. The rolling countryside, vast vineyards and picturesque villages make this region perfect for exploring by bike, on foot or by kayak. Authentic and Rustic.

Agnès Sorel is considered the first official mistress of the French king Charles VII and had a great influence at court in the 15th century. She was known for her natural beauty and daring choices. You will find that same beauty in this room.

The authentic tommetes (traditional terracotta tiles) and the built-in antique cupboard give the room character. Wooden accents provide a cozy, rural atmosphere that fits perfectly with the charm of BienViennue.

The room is located on the ground floor, a few steps from the terrace and the park garden. From the cozy sitting area you have a beautiful view of the garden and the roses.

In the packages that we offer for the room, you will find both the price for the low season and the price for the high season. The high season starts on June 15 and runs until September 15.

Authentic and Adventurous.

The Balzac Room is named after Honoré de Balzac, the famous writer who was such a keen observer of human nature. Balzac gave voice to both the past and the future - this room embraces that same balance of tradition and an adventurous, modern twist.

With its own entrance on the charming courtyard, between the historic buildings, the room feels like a hidden discovery. Inside, the robust OSB finish and the authentic limestone wall create a unique mix of modern and traditional, in keeping with the atmosphere of the Loire region.

The room has a duplex layout: upstairs is a cozy sleeping area with a 1.2 meter bed, downstairs is a single sofa bed for extra flexibility. This makes this room perfect for adventurous travelers, including pilgrims on the Santiago de Compostela route - it runs right past our domain. A nice place to catch your breath, with comfort and character.
