B&B Fount Estremiero

Fount Estremiero Estate is located at the end of a dead-end road, surrounded by the vast forests of the Montagne Noire. It is the ideal place for nature lovers and for those who enjoy authenticity and peace and quiet.

The house dates back to 1873 and has been thoroughly renovated while preserving its authentic features. The stone walls, wooden ceilings, fireplaces and stoves create a warm atmosphere throughout the house. All of our rooms are very spacious, each with a private bathroom and plenty of wooden details.

Outside, you will find a heated swimming pool and an outdoor wellness area with a sauna, hammam and hot tub. Use of these facilities is included in the price. There are several cosy spots around the estate where you can sit and enjoy a drink or dinner from our table d’hôtes. Breakfast is always included when you book a room.

There are many walking and cycling options starting right from the house, and on the estate itself you’ll also find a ping-pong table, a foosball table, a pétanque court, and more.

Both indoors and outdoors, everything is designed for rest and wellbeing—recharge in this peaceful oasis of silence and tranquillity.

In the nearby area, you will find the caves of 'Gouffre de Cabrespine', truly spectacular and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The ancient city of Carcassonne is also on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is a must-see, especially with children.

There are several hiking and biking opportunities, with various trails starting right from the house.

The region is known for its rich history of the Cathars. As a result, there are several castles, fortresses, and abbeys to visit that are worth exploring. In Villeneuve, you'll find a truffle museum, and in Mazamet, you can walk across a long suspension bridge to the medieval town of Hautpoul.

The Pays d'Oc is a well-known wine region, and you can easily take a car trip from vineyard to vineyard.

Within an hour's drive, you can reach the sea in Narbonne, and visiting the towns of Albi and Castres also makes for enjoyable outings.
