The Hauts-de-France coastline is amazing! From north to south: panoramic landscapes over the Bay of Somme from the fishing port of Crotoy and the fortified city of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, Pointe du Hourdel to observe seals, the dunes and pebble beach of Cayeux and the 80m sheer chalk cliffs between Ault and Le Tréport... “Wow” landscapes for romantic or unusual walks? You won't have to choose. Your base for the weekend is halfway between all these nature spots. Welcome to the “Château des Lumières” in Saint-Blimont.
A 19th century brick residence, formerly a holiday resort for its proximity to the coast (15 minutes!). On the porch, your hosts Antoine, Estelle and their dogs and cats await you. Come in.
Upstairs of the house there are different atmospheres: Art Deco bedroom in shades of duck blue and gold to immerse yourself in the Roaring Twenties, Shabby chic bedroom in soothing cream and vanilla tones or Bohemian chic bedroom with its shades of pink, the bedroom Industrial Loft with its living room and armchairs, the Scandinavian room with its magnificent view of the park.

From your bedroom window, you can see funny little chalets scattered here and there in the garden. One is a “Canadian gazebo” housing an XXL spa where you can relax in bubbling water as a couple. Put on your bathrobe and head to another chalet, the “kota sauna”. Hot stones at 80°C, eucalyptus essential oils...Soak up its benefits on your body and mind.
Extend the relaxation and “doing nothing”. Your hosts will have prepared champagne and a board of charcuterie and cheese accompanied by raw vegetables and homemade desserts (psst: Estelle is a little genius in the kitchen!).
The next day, perhaps you will succumb to the desire for a relaxing or personalized massage in the dedicated salon, set up in the castle cellars? And continue your recharge during a romantic walk in the Bois de Cise. A green setting in the heart of the cliffs that takes you back to the Belle Epoque.
The castle is an old mansion located in the Bay of Somme, 10km from the sea, near the Hourdel lighthouse, an emblematic place for observing seals. We are ideally located 12km from Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and 20km from Mers-les-Bains & Le Tréport. The Bay of Somme is a natural and preserved place. The Château des Lumières is located in the heart of nature, close to all the emblematic outings and walks of the region.
