About 11 years ago we left Belgium for the southern Alps near Barcelonnette. There we opened a bed and breakfast in a Mexican villa, a mansion built by French emigrants from the Ubaye Valley who moved to Mexico to try their luck in the banking and textile sector. The Caire family made a fortune and then had this summer house built to spend the summers with the family. Surroundings

You arrive in a valley that runs from Lake Serre-Ponçon to the Italian border. Our house is located in Jausiers at an altitude of 1200 meters. We are in a quiet location 200 meters from the village and 200 m from a small lake. Central base for cyclists, walkers and motorbikes. Perfect spot for adventurous vacations with canyoning, rafting, paragliding and down hill mtb. In the winter away from all mass tourism skiing in Praloup and Sauze, cross-country skiing near the Mercantour national nature park or taking a dog sled ride in unspoilt nature. We have a large garden with a view of the mountains, private parking and garage and in the summer a refreshing summer swimming pool.
