Bienvenue au Grand Trianon à Lugeastre!
Welcome to our small, atmospheric and comfortable B & B in the hamlet Lugeastre Bas, part of the commune Saint Didier sur Doulon. This location is perfect for strollers (GPS) and people who like silence. Besides that, the area is suitable for MTB’s , cycling, enduro, fishing, kayak and canoe, rafting, horse riding, swimming, bird watching etc. We have different maps for the cyclers. Hospitality, flexibility and good service are the most important matters to give you a pleasant stay.
The building Le Grand Trianon, the last house in this hamlet, has three parts with a floor surface of 500 square metres. There are five rooms for our guests, multiple terraces, and it is situated very quiet at an altitude of 800 metres. There’s a lovely free view over the valley, from out of the big garden. In this garden we have fruit trees and flavours. We will serve you most of the time our fresh biological vegetables from our own garden. We also use products and specialties from the area and we make our own marmalades, ham, pâté and a special red wine.
Lugeastre Bas is an authentic hamlet and there are twelve houses. When you enter this hamlet, it seems to be that the time has stood still for hundred years. The atmosphere and the surroundings, everything gives you that impression. The accommodation is situated directly among several stroller routes. Le Grand Trianon offers you modern comfort and is a quiet place to distress in a wonderful green area in The Parc Livradois Forez, the south part of the Massif Central.
Auvergne: the region Auvergne has four departments: Allier, Puy de Dôme, Cantal and Haute-Loire. A region with a lot of forests, rivers and lakes, that’s why the French call it the water source and the longs of France. Originally the Auvergne is volcanic, you still see it in particular in the Cantal and the Puy the Dome with their high mountains and magnificent views.
Haute-Loire : the Haute-Loire is situated north-west of the Ardèche, in the middle of the Parc Régional Livradois and south-west of the Massif Central. The department is rich of little streams and rivers, but also two big ones: the Allier and the Loire. The forest and meadows give the department a very green character. The height of the mountains vary from 300 meters to 1.600 meters, so in winter you can (cross-country) ski here. A part of the Haute-Loire is called the Gorges de l’Allier and that is where we live.
There are four (!) « Les Plus Beaux village de France » (« Most Beautiful Villages of France ») in the Haute-Loire: Arlempdes, Blesle, Lavaudieu and Pradelles.
