Domaine Le Besset

Domaine Le Besset is a pleasant and welcoming bed and breakfast / mini campsite situated in the green heart of France, in a quiet region of the Auvergne, department Puy de Dome.

The chambres d'hotes/B&B has four spacious, attractive rooms with a private shower and toilet, a living room with fireplace. The expansive grounds around the house include a landscaped garden with stunning views and a large swimming pool with pool house.

There is the possibility to enjoy home-cooked meals, with simple dishes made from local products. We serve it in in the garden when the weather is pleasant enough. A barbecue at the pool house can also be organised.

The chambre d'hotes/ B&B is located in a 150 year-old manor house and is situated in a rural area along a main road to the south, in a wooded area between the mountains, near a recreational lake. Clermont-Ferrand is the nearest international airport and 45 km away. The chambres d'hotes is situated in the medieval town of Thiers, with its steep streets. Thiers is known for its knife factories.

Le Besset located 13 km away from the A72 junction Thiers and is therefore an ideal stop-over if you are travelling south, or if you want to enjoy the countryside for a few days. There are plenty of possibilties to enjoy yourself in this region. Auvergne is one of the last peaceful parts of France, with its lakes and volcanoes, unspoiled nature and ancient culture - the ideal place for holidaymakers seeking tranquility.

In the village of Saint-Remy sur Durolle, 5 minutes from Le Besset, you will find the necessary amenities such as a supermarket, bakery, and cafés. This village also has a large lake with beaches and a sunbathing area. Fishing licenses can be arranged for you at the lake and you can also rent paddle-boats. There is also plenty to do in this region such as canoeing, hiking, biking... and there are spas, markets ,a historic castle route during the summer, tourist trains, etc. We have enough information in the form of leaflets/brochures in our living room to help you on your way.
