Dick and Annemarie welcome you in a beautiful maison de maître, dating from 1863. After careful renovation, the house now has modern facilities while keeping all its original historical charm and style.
in the delightfully leafy garden you can find many perfect places to relax and to enjoy the nice summer evenings. If the weather does not allow to eat in the garden, meals are served in the dining room with its authentic French atmosphere. The opposite living room has a library full of books and brochures.
A few times a week we offer the possibility to join us for dinner at the table d’hôtes and to share a moment of conviviality.

The B&B is nestled in Beaufort, on the border of the departments of Aude and Hérault in the Languedoc. Beaufort is a quiet village and has a local population of around 200 inhabitants. Perched above the village stands a castle which once served as the defense for the picturesque village of Minerve.
Every Thursday evening from June to September ‘petanque’ tournaments are organized at the municipal Boulodrome.
The village of Olonzac, just 3 kilometers away, has all the amenities and a large traditional market every Tuesday morning.
La Maison Chabbert is surrounded by the sun-soaked vineyards of the Minervois, an area rich in history, especially that of the Cathars.
Beaufort is situated only 5 miles of Minerve, classed as one of the most beautiful villages of France.
The beautiful surroundings offer fantastic walking and biking opportunities, such as a tour along the Canal du Midi. There is a wide range of well-signed hiking and biking trails, which take you through flat, hilly or mountainous landscapes. We will be happy to advise you, also about bike rental opportunities.
