La Vaisse - Chambres d'hotes de Charme -

In the middle of the Livradois Forez regional park, surrounded by beautiful nature and beautiful towns and villages with beautiful landscapes in the vicinity, you will find our chambres d'hotes de charme. A lovely garden with various seating areas to relax with a drink, read a book, sunbathe, and a lovely natural swimming pool. In autumn and winter you can relax next to our authentic fireplace (with bread oven) and/or in the wood-fired hot tub that you can book for individual use.

We have two double rooms with luxurious box-spring beds, a seating area and a spacious private bathroom with double sink, bath, shower and toilet.

In our area you can enjoy walking, cycling (road and mountain biking), horse riding and motorcycle tours (bicycles and motorcycles can be stored indoors!), and in winter you can go skiing and cross-country skiing, a 20-35 minute drive away.

We offer table d'hotes every evening, a four-course dinner, everything freshly prepared from as many local and regional ingredients as possible. Delicious matching wines from both the region and the whole country. You can also have lunch with us or have a packed lunch made.

Our house is located at an altitude of 860 meters, where the summers are sunny and clear during the day and it cools down in the evening so that you can sleep comfortably. The Dore Valley is beautifully colored in autumn and fairytale-like in winter.

The valley between the mountain ranges Monts des Forez and Monts Livradois is dotted with small villages and towns, with nice markets, small museums and all kinds of sights. Ambert, with its lively market on Thursday mornings, is only 6 km away. Le moulin de Richard de Bas is just around the corner: high-quality handmade paper is made here.

A little further away (35 minutes) you will find La Chaise Dieu, with its famous abbey church and monastery from the 12th century. On the other side of the valley is Thiers, famous for its hand-made knives.

Walking, cycling, horse riding, motorcycling and also car tours are activities that guarantee the most beautiful views. The golf courses in Billom or Le Puy-en-Velay are an hour away.
