La Fougeraie: enjoy the comfort and atmosphere of our world themed castle-farm in the Auvergne

In the midst of serene Livradois-Forez nature, at the end of a lane of 350 years old beeches and aside the small Folgoux castle, you will find a place of serenity and relaxation. In the surroundings you will find excellent opportunities for hiking, cycling, riding your motorbike, visiting cosy villages and towns and experiencing the Auvergne culture.

La Fougeraie is located at an altitude of 950 m between forests and the meadows around the castle and 4 km from La Chaise Dieu.

La Fougeraie is a chambres d'hôtes with:

- a lovely guest garden for a refreshing drink
- lavish dinner and breakfast in the large lounge with a view of the castle of Folgoux
- a build-up swimming pool to refresh you
- a pétanque court to relax together
- the forest where you can walk directly into for a small or large hike
- beautiful view over the meadows near the castle

You sleep in a comfortable bed in a room with its own bathroom and its own theme. In the evening you hear owls calling, you see thousands of stars and feel the presence of wild animals that live in the forest.

We offer:

- a family floor for up to 4 people with two rooms that share bathroom and toilet: chambres Bali & Soleil
- a spacious holiday home for up to 6 people
- daily 'table d'hôtes' (dinner together with the host)
- on request we make lunch and picnic packages

There is much to experience in the area. There are nice villages, small towns, regional markets, castles and volcanoes. You can walk endlessly, we have many walking routes available. Cycling is also possible with strong legs or an electric bicycle. A 2-minute drive away you can swim in natural water, the lake has a beautiful beach.
